Antonio Valencia has revived his Manchester United career over the last few seasons and once again he has been a regular feature in the team under manager Jose Mourinho.
The Ecuadorian has started all 18 Premier League games for the Red Devils and has even contributed with two goals.
It seems, though, that the 32-year-old could now be facing a spell on the sidelines after he suffered a hamstring injury against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
The right-sided player was withdrawn from the action in the 66th minute and replaced by Marcos Rojo at The Hawthorns.
Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard got on the scoresheet in the first half, and the team managed to hold on for three points, despite an attempted comeback from the Baggies.
After the final whistle, Mourinho told the club’s official website that he was unsure about the extent of Valencia’s injury, but confirmed that he picked up the problem due to fatigue.
The former Wigan Athletic player later took to Twitter to ease fears over the problem.
It is safe to say that United fans were relieved, especially given that centre-back Eric Bailly is facing three months on the sidelines following ankle surgery.
