Leeds United are vying to sign FC Luzern midfielder Ardon Jashari, according to Sky Sports Germany.
The Lowdown: Jashari profiled
Jashari is primarily a left-footed holding midfielder but can also feature in a box-to-box role if required. The 20-year-old has featured 40 times in the first team for FC Luzern and has been described as an ‘exciting’ talent by one journalist.
He made his senior Switzerland debut back in September and also made the squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
The Latest: Leeds keen
Sky Sports Germany shared an update in the last 48 hours regarding Jashari’s future.
They said that the player is likely to leave FC Luzern and named the Whites as a club who are ‘vying’ for his services, alongside RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt, Celtic and Napoli.

The Verdict: Second signing?
Leeds appear to be making good progress over a move for RB Salzburg defender Maximilian Wober and are hopeful of completing a transfer in the coming days.
Jashari could therefore become the club’s second addition of 2023, however, it seems as if other areas of the pitch could do with bolstering first.
Jesse Marsch seems to be desperate for a proven goalscorer due to Patrick Bamford’s struggles for form and fitness in 2022, so perhaps Leeds should look in the final third before swooping for Jashari.
