Some Sunderland fans are disillusioned with Phil Parkinson and in recent weeks have set their sights on a managerial replacement, with Kevin Phillips previously the topic of such a discussion.
With results not improving and showing no signs of getting better soon it is unlikely that such debate will die down, and some supporters have pointed to Roy Keane as a potential replacement.
Fans likely have fond memories of the Irishman after he got the club promoted to the Premier League in 2007, and considering the lacklustre performances from some, he may be just what is needed to get the best out of players.
Some fans are more desperate than others for a change in personnel in the dugout, with one, in particular, suggesting that he’d travel to his house in order to give him a piggyback.
However, despite the negative results, Parkinson seems reasonably safe in his role, with Stewart Donald declaring that he is the best man for the job because of his knowledge of the league and has a lot of experience.
His talk of the transfer window also indicates there is still long-term thinking in place, with the owner perhaps keen not to have a quick turnover of managers.
Finances may also be an issue in getting rid of Parkinson, as there is a real need for new players in order to breathe new life into the side, especially in attack, which has declined considerably under the new boss.

The Black Cats have scored seven goals in the previous 11 matches and though fans may want Parkinson to go, they realise that is unlikely to become a reality soon.
Elsewhere, David Jones has shared his vision for Sunderland by identifying the areas he wants to improve in his new role as a non-executive director.
