Instead, Vicente Guaita was able to match anything the home side threw at him in the Palace net and his side earned a narrow win, but Hammers’ supporters believe a different conclusion could have been achieved if the team’s performance was better.
Some have pointed to the lacklustre nature of the display, accusing the side of a lack of intensity and being too slow on the ball, which allowed a defensive side like the Eagles to soak up pressure and hit them on the break.
That means they believe the players only have themselves to blame for the loss, and for that reason they need to improve quickly.
